We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to fill the position of Event Management Specialist at Charlotte County, FL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a wide range of events that promote social and recreational opportunities for residents of all ages.

Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate events that align with the department's goals and objectives, including concerts, festivals, and other celebrations.
Manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Build partnerships with local vendors, suppliers, and community organizations to develop and deliver events.
Develop and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, including internal staff, external partners, and community members.
Oversee the setup and teardown of event venues, ensuring a safe and secure environment for attendees.
Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and providing information and assistance.
Maintain inventory of department supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment and efficient use.
Monitor and track expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budget.
Attend meetings of advisory boards, committees, and other special interest groups, providing updates and guidance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of relevant experience in event planning and coordination.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
