Riviera Fort Lauderdale is seeking a polished, sales-driven, and highly organized Events Manager to lead and grow our private events, group dining, and special occasions program. This role blends proactive event sales, hands-on execution, and elevated guest relations to ensure every event—from oceanfront corporate dinners to weddings, social celebrations, and branded activations—is seamlessly produced and strategically monetized.

Located inside Hotel Maren, Curio Collection by Hilton, Riviera Fort Lauderdale is a coastal, ocean-facing restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a refined yet energetic South Florida aesthetic. With indoor dining, expansive oceanfront patio space, and access to the hotel’s rooftop pool and lounge areas, Riviera is a premier destination for private dining, receptions, buyouts, and destination events on Fort Lauderdale Beach.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Sales & Business Development
Serve as the primary point of contact for all private event and group dining inquiries.
Respond to inbound leads promptly and professionally while proactively sourcing new corporate, social, wedding, and hotel-driven event opportunities.
Actively sell and close events via email, phone, site tours, and in-person walkthroughs.
Maintain and optimize Riviera’s presence on major event-booking platforms (e.g., The Knot, Peerspace, EventUp, hotel partner channels).
Partner with hotel sales, concierge, and marketing teams to drive consistent event demand and cross-referrals.
Event Planning, Coordination & Execution
Plan, coordinate, and execute all private and special events from initial inquiry through day-of execution.
Oversee event logistics including timelines, BEOs, floor plans, menu selections, staffing needs, and client communications.
Collaborate closely with culinary, beverage, service, and hotel operations teams to ensure flawless execution and guest satisfaction.
Be present and hands-on during events to manage flow, troubleshoot issues, and deliver a high-touch guest experience.
Marketing, Brand & Production Support
Work with the marketing and communications teams to promote private events, seasonal activations, and signature Riviera experiences.
Assist in conceptualizing and executing themed events, holiday programming, branded activations, and hotel-driven initiatives.
Coordinate with external vendors (floral, décor, entertainment, AV, photography) to ensure all events align with Riviera’s brand standards and aesthetic.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in events, hospitality, hotel F&B, or restaurant management.
Strong sales instincts with the ability to confidently close events and upsell enhancements.
Exceptional organization, communication, and attention to detail.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment with multiple simultaneous events.
Tech-savvy with experience using CRM tools, online booking platforms, and digital communication systems.
Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
