Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Conference Speaker Acquisition Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing top-tier speakers for our diverse array of conferences. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a strong network in key industries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Speaker Recruitment: Identify and recruit industry leaders, experts, and innovators to speak at our conferences. Utilize various tools and methods such as social media, industry publications, and networking events to find the best speakers.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and confirmed speakers. Serve as the main point of contact for all speaker-related inquiries and arrangements.
• Content Development: Collaborate with the conference production team to develop engaging and relevant session content that aligns with the event’s theme and objectives.
• Negotiation and Coordination: Negotiate speaking terms and coordinate logistics to ensure a smooth experience for speakers. This includes travel arrangements, scheduling, and technical requirements.
• Feedback and Reporting: Collect feedback from speakers and attendees to continually improve the speaker acquisition process. Prepare reports on speaker performance and audience engagement for stakeholders.
• Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor events to ensure our conferences feature leading voices and topical content.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
• Proven experience in speaker acquisition, event management, or a similar role, preferably in the conference industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong networking abilities and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
• Multilingual abilities.
• Experience in a specific industry relevant to our conference portfolio.
