As our Event Marketing Coordinator, you’ll be the key player behind organizing and promoting unforgettable experiences that elevate the Parq Casino brand beyond the gaming floor. You’ll handle logistics, coordinate vendors, and ensure events align with marketing strategies. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Participation: Assist in organizing and participating in promotional events to showcase our products and services. Assist in setting up and managing displays during these events.
Seasonal Décor Oversight: Plan and implement décor installations for major seasonal celebrations including Lunar New Year, Spring, Pride, Harvest Moon, and Holiday festivities to enhance guest atmosphere and brand presence.
Table Booking Management: Oversee reservations for Private tables and coordinate Funny Money bookings to ensure smooth guest experiences and optimized seating utilization.
Event Calendar Management: Maintain and regularly update the master event calendar, ensuring all departments are informed and aligned on upcoming events, activations, and décor timelines.
Event Activations: Coordinate unique activations outside the casino such as Canucks games, BC Lions games, Pride celebrations etc. as determined that align with the marketing strategy
Coordinate Private Event Space Bookings: Oversee and coordinate all private event space bookings, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure flawless planning, timely communication, and exceptional guest experiences from start to finish.
Tradeshow & Promotional Materials: Manage the end-to-end process of tradeshow preparation, including ordering and organizing branded swag and promotional materials. Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery, maintain inventory, and support the marketing team in creating impactful brand experiences at industry events. Oversee logistics to ensure all giveaways and materials align with event goals and brand standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1-3 years of Marketing or Casino experience
Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and analytical skills
Post-secondary qualifications in marketing or equivalent experience
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and interests
Superior organizational and time management skills.
Strong computer knowledge – Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Casino, gambling or entertainment industry experience preferred
Event planning/execution experience an asset
CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS
Ability to obtain a valid GPEB registration
Ability to complete all BCLC required trainings
Serving it Right Certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs
Required to sit, stand and walk during working hours
