Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and execute all operational logistics for a wide range of events, including conferences, exhibitions, corporate functions, and social gatherings. Develop detailed operational plans, including venue setup, staffing, AV requirements, catering, security, and transportation. Manage and oversee on-site event execution, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and according to schedule. Liaise with venue management, vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure service delivery aligns with event requirements. Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness. Ensure all events comply with relevant health, safety, and security regulations. Recruit, train, and manage event staff and volunteers, providing clear direction and support. Oversee the setup and teardown of event spaces, ensuring timely completion and adherence to design specifications. Manage inventory of event supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and maintenance. Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues and challenges as they arise, often under pressure. Conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedback and compiling reports to identify areas for improvement. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams. Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in event operations and technology. Contribute to the overall strategic planning and development of event offerings. Represent the company professionally at all times, ensuring a positive client and guest experience. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in event operations management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events. In-depth knowledge of event logistics, venue management, and vendor coordination. Strong understanding of health, safety, and security protocols within event environments. Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking skills. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules. A passion for creating memorable and successful event experiences.
