Responsibilities
The Events Planner will organize and coordinate various types of events, such as conferences, meetings, parties and corporate functions
Provide event planning services for up to 50 events, to include:
Planning for contracted events
Facilitate events.Coordinate events
Travel to proposed venues for site visits
Provide monthly reports
For up to 50 ANG Yellow Ribbon events, provide all labor, supervision, materials and equipment, venue location management, administrative services, food and beverage services, childcare services, audio visual, and onsite support services
Other duties may be assigned
Collaborates with clients to understand their event requirements, objectives, and budget
Develops event concepts and themes based on client preferences and needs
Researches and identifies suitable venues for events based on client requirements
Assists with negotiating contracts and securing bookings with venues
Assists with creating and managing event budgets, ensuring all expenses are accounted for and kept within the allocated budget
Assists with marketing strategies to promote events and attract attendees
Utilizes various channels such as social media, email marketing, and traditional advertising methods
Keeps up-to-date with industry trends, new event technologies, and best practices in event planning to enhance event experiences
Oversees event setup, ensuring all elements are in place according to the event plan
Managing event staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operations during the event
Oversees all logistical aspects of events, including arranging transportation, accommodation, and equipment rentals
Assists with conducting post-event evaluations to assess the success of the event and gather feedback from clients and attendees
