Job Description
This individual will be a key player in driving revenue growth through strategic sales efforts targeting exhibitors, sponsors, and companies interested in participating in the awards program.
Key Responsibilities :
• Sales Strategy & Execution :
• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to sell expo event space and awards nomination packages.
• Identify potential exhibitors and sponsors in the fintech industry and beyond.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Lead Generation & Outreach :
• Research and identify potential leads and key decision-makers in target companies.
• Conduct cold calling, email campaigns, and face-to-face meetings to generate new business.
• Attend industry events, networking functions, and conferences to build a sales pipeline.
• Client Relationship Management :
• Understand clients’ business needs and offer solutions tailored to their objectives.
• Negotiate contracts and close deals with a focus on achieving sales targets.
• Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring follow-up and engagement at every stage.
• Awards Nomination Sales :
• Promote and sell awards nomination packages to companies within the fintech and related sectors.
• Work closely with the marketing team to identify companies worthy of nomination and present them with participation opportunities.
• Provide ongoing support and information to ensure nominees are prepared for the awards process.
• Collaboration & Reporting :
• Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to ensure alignment on sales goals and event execution.
• Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills :
• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field.
• Experience :
• 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in event sales, sponsorship sales, or the fintech industry.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Skills :
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client relationships and handle a high-volume sales environment.
• Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office suite.
• Strong understanding of the fintech or technology sector is a plus.
