The Ipswich Civic Centre is a multi-site venue offering a range of events for the community to enjoy and we have multiple casual opportunities available.
As Event Services Attendant you will provide high-quality customer service across a wide range of front-of-house, hospitality, and event support functions. You will have the opportunity to display your expert hospitality skills delivering multi-skilled services including cashiering, food and beverage operations, ushering, event support, general administration, cleaning, and other duties that contribute to the smooth and safe delivery of events.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting with seating, directions, and general front-of-house needs
Food and beverage service, including bar operations and table waiting and support kitchen operations when required
Provide front-of-house and event services, including ushering, door attendance, ticket verification, event set-up, pack-down, cleaning, and maintaining safe, well-presented event spaces
Provide administration and reporting support, including data entry, incident reporting, record keeping, signage, processing payments, cash handling
Work collaboratively with the Venues and Performing Arts team, supporting patron safety and participating in emergency procedures

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
Excellent customer service and a passion in delivering safe and enjoyable patron experiences
The ability to process the sale of items across various food and beverage or venue outlets, cash handling, EFTPOS sales, Point of Sale operations and reconciliations
Current Responsible Service of ******* Certificate
Working with Children Blue Card (issued by the Queensland Government) or Exemption Card
Current Queensland C class driver’s licence

A pre-employment medical and criminal history check will be required for this role.

This is a casual position, with a salary commencing at $38.97 per hour (including loading), plus 12.5% superannuation.
