Event Technician
Audiovisual Technician Position Overview
A skilled technician is responsible for the setup and operation of basic to small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. This role reports directly to an Operations Manager or Director.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Equipment Operation
Execute events flawlessly by accurately and timely setting up, operating, and breaking down listed technical equipment.
Customer Service
Exceed customer expectations through proactive service delivery and meet-and-greets with guests on-site.
Maintain positive relationships with clients via effective communication.
Monitor events and check in regularly to ensure client needs are met.
Understand and foster strong hotel-client relationships.
Technical Ability
Demonstrate understanding of technical aspects, troubleshooting, and problem-solving with equipment and software issues.
Address equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
Systems Knowledge
Adhere to company procedures, complete systems entry and paperwork accurately, and understand key processes.
Utilize equipment sheets to determine scheduled equipment and interact with other staff and vendors.
Increase revenue by applying floor-up selling techniques and work with clients to finalize invoices.
Complete order entries in Navigator as needed.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
1 year of audio visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
Valid driver's license required for team members operating Company vehicles.
Additional DOT requirements may apply if applicable.
