Event Producer - Event Agency

Are you passionate about creating and producing unforgettable events from corporate conferences and awards ceremonies to brand experiences? My client, an exciting and creative event management agency is looking for an Event Producer to join their growing team! Combining creative flair with first rate attention to detail, you will be a key player in delivering creative, high-quality events from brief to execution, ensuring seamless delivery and client satisfaction.

As a priority you will:

• Play a crucial role in supporting larger projects while independently leading smaller-scale events

• Always maintain a client-first approach whilst delivering the ultimate experience

• Provide creative solutions and present/ pitch to win new business / events

• Take full responsibility for managing the delivery of client's event including on-site team management

• Have the ability to advise on technical requirements and be up to date on the latest trends in the industry

• Be responsible for full production management of all event logistics from conception to roll out

To be successful, you will need:

• Experience of working within an events agency for a minimum of 2 years.

• Expertise in producing creative conferences, awards and celebrations amongst other events

• Strong people and client management skills

• Strong negotiation skills and be commercially and financially astute

• To be a creative thinker, with strong networking and client-facing abilities

• A UK driver's licence

This role is based in the Greater Manchester area and offers a hybrid pattern and flexible working for a healthier work life balance.

Job Description

We are looking for a part time Events Assistant to support the effective planning and delivery of events in the Cultural Services portfolio and to support the planning and delivery of the Cambridge Folk Festival, working with the Events Operations Officer.

We are looking for someone who will:

• be an active member of the Folk Festival team, working with others to ensure that the festival is planned and delivered effectively;

• be an active member of the Cultural Services team, working with others to ensure City Events are planned and delivered effectively;

• be friendly and confident with excellent communication skills;

• attend events throughout the year to support the operational delivery of the activities;

• be a core member of the on-site Folk Festival delivery team, carrying out allocated tasks, as required;

• assist the Events Operations Officer and the wider events teams with efficient and effective administrative and organisational support for the planning and delivery of Cultural Services Events;

• assist with Festival enquiries and general event correspondence;

• operate and maintain information on key Folk Festival systems and databases to ensure accuracy and efficiency of (but not excluding) the pass accreditation system, traders and caterers documentation tracking and payment, artist information, compiling staff briefing and check lists;

• operate Systems of Google Docs, Jot Form and Microsoft Office Suite;

• ensure all work is accurate and update corresponding records where appropriate;

• liaise with other members of staff, artists, traders, temporary staff, contractors and guests, over the phone, via email and face to face;

• assist with the administration of other aspects of the Folk Festival as directed;

• help ensure that office based administrative systems are translated effectively and seamlessly into the on-site environment and administrate their on-site operation. This includes ensuring that all physical equipment needed for the administration of the festival on site is in place, and that it is collected and securely stored at the end of the on-site period; and carry out any other duties as required by your line manager from time to time in accordance with the grading of the post;

• work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet the needs of the role

Hours: This is a part-time role, for 21 hours per week.

Working Pattern: To be agreed. Occasional evening and weekend working is required, with dates known well in advance.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £29,540 - £32,061 per annum (City Pay Band 3), pro rata for part time.

Location: This is flexible – working in Cambridge on site with occasional work from home permitted.
