OVERVIEW: The XÍRENA Bottoms Designer is responsible for the design and development of the woven bottoms category across all seasonal collections. This role works closely with the design team to execute a cohesive assortment that reflects the brand's aesthetic vision from initial concept and trend research through fabric selection, sample review, and final production handoff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
• Work closely with the Design Director to sketch and plan designs based on seasonal direction
• Demonstrate expert knowledge and understanding of wovens — concept, design, fabric, fit, and construction
• Sketch and develop tech packs for in-house pattern makers and domestic/import factories
• Follow designs from initial fitting with the Pattern Maker through final sample approval
• Research and create tests, prototypes, techniques, embroideries, and trims for both import and domestic product
• Work with factories and local vendors to develop new techniques, treatments, and shapes — following through from proto to SMS to meet calendar deadlines
• Comment on strike-offs and handloom submits for fabrics and trims
• Problem-solve with PD to hit target costs while maintaining design integrity
• Research trends online, attend fabric and vintage shows, and stay current with store assortments
• Propose and present new ideas for the collection based on seasonal direction
