Events Coordinator – GRG Connect (NDIS Networking Events)

GRG Connect is our fast-growing networking arm, designed to bring NDIS providers together in a way that actually works, no rushed conversations, no overcrowded expos, just real connections and meaningful referral relationships.
We’re looking for an Events Coordinator to take ownership of both the operations and growth of our events.
About the Role
This is not a typical events role.
You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering events, while also playing a key role in filling the room — connecting with providers, building relationships, and ensuring strong attendance at each event.
You’ll work closely with the Director and be hands-on across both event execution and outreach.
What You’ll Be Doing
Event Coordination & Delivery
Plan and coordinate GRG Connect events end-to-end
Manage venues, layouts, run sheets and timelines
Oversee on-the-day operations and troubleshoot in real time
Provider Outreach & Event Growth (Key Part of Role)
Proactively reach out to providers to attend events (phone, email, networking)
Build and maintain relationships with NDIS providers and organisations
Convert conversations into table bookings and event attendance
Ensure each event has a strong and relevant mix of providers in the room
Sponsor & Provider Experience
Support table hosts and ensure smooth onboarding
Manage sponsor requirements and deliverables
Help create a valuable experience that keeps providers coming back
Attendee Experience
Oversee registrations and check-in processes
Ensure a smooth, welcoming and professional event environment
Staff & Event Support
Coordinate and brief event staff
Lead on-the-day execution and floor management
Marketing & Content Support
Work with marketing on promotions and communications
Assist with on-the-day content capture
Ensure sponsor visibility is delivered
Operations & Reporting
Track event-related costs and support reporting
Contribute to improving systems and processes
Participate in post-event reviews
What We’re Looking For
Experience in events, coordination, sales, or similar roles (preferred but not required)
NDIS experience (preferred but not required)
Confident on the phone and comfortable reaching out to new people
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Someone who is proactive, driven, and results-focused
Able to think on their feet in fast-paced environments
