This role offers an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to bring the Maersk brand to life at external commercial events and trade fairs, collaborating with the EUR and Global marketing teams to support our overall go-to-market strategy.

The EUR marketing team strategizes and executes marketing initiatives that build brand value and develop local solutions to drive successful growth in Europe. This is created through a deep understanding of customers’ needs and market trends.

As the Event Manager in Europe, you will manage a variety of events, including conferences and trade shows. From concept to exhibition, the purpose of this role is to deliver impactful and successful events that showcase a strong narrative and create a commercially impactful brand presence.

Key Responsibilities
• Event Strategy & Planning: Lead the development of a comprehensive event strategy and calendar for the Europe region that aligns with the company’s overall marketing and business goals. Ensure each event amplifies our brand presence and communicates our strategic narrative effectively.
• Project Management: Manage the full event process from conception to execution including planning, budgeting, timeline, performance, strategic narrative, reporting and ROI. This will include the development of modular booth design concepts which bring the brand to life.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders including marketing, sales and product experts to align on goals, content and messaging for each event. Work closely with external agencies, suppliers and vendors to ensure seamless execution.
• Brand Presence: Ensure events reflect the company’s brand, purpose and values and are consistent with global brand guidelines. Drive strategic storytelling that resonates with the target audience in close collaboration with marketing and customer communications team. Extend brand presence for the event via digital channels.

What We Are Looking For
• 5+ years of experience in marketing and event management, with a strong background in executing large-scale corporate events, ideally within a global company.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, able to influence without authority and resolve conflicts. A problem solver who is highly organised with the ability to think critically and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working with multiple senior stakeholders. Fluency in English is required; German language skills appreciated.
• A solid team player with a can-do attitude who can run multiple events at one time, strong project management skills are essential.
• Resilience vs. high workload before and during events.
• Flexible, ability to travel across Europe.
