Events Manager
Planet Watch is a global nonprofit empowering youth to move from climate awareness to action. We’re launching an Earth Day Writing Competition and seeking a Project Manager to lead the project
Key Responsibilities
• Develop clear, inclusive rules and submission guidelines
• Build and manage the project timeline
• Coordinate outreach to schools, libraries, youth groups, Indigenous organizations, and community partners
• Support promotion through email, social media, and partner networks
• Recruit and coordinate volunteer judges
• Manage submissions, scoring, and participant communication
• Track prize funds and support sponsorship outreach
Qualifications
• Experience with contests, judging, or volunteer coordination
• Comfort engaging with youth‑serving and community organizations
• Digital literacy (email tools, social media)
• Experience in nonprofit, education, or youth engagement
• Familiarity with climate or environmental issues
• Fundraising or sponsorship outreach experience
