Join us at The Blackpool Tower and Merlin cluster attractions, from Madame Tussauds, and SEA LIFE to the Famous Ballroom and Circus. We are searching for an enthusiastic and driven Events Operations Manager to take the lead on our world-class events and guide clients through the entire planning process!
As the Events Operations Manager, you’ll work closely with the Business Development Manager for Merlin Events to ensure every event we deliver has the wow factor! With 11 different rooms across 5 attractions, we can host from 2 to 2,000 guests, so there’s always something exciting to organise.
From hosting Bongo Bingo in the Tower Ballroom to corporate conferences at the top of the Tower, your days will be filled with a variety of events. You’ll be the main point of contact for clients, ensuring operational excellence and top-notch customer service every step of the way.
On the day of the event, you’ll coordinate multiple teams, including facilities, event staff, health & safety, and suppliers. Your strong organisational and communication skills will be key in ensuring everything runs smoothly. When you're not hosting events, you’ll be scouting for new opportunities to put The Blackpool Tower on the map and maximise revenue.
This is a full-time, permanent role, working mainly during business hours, but with regular evenings, weekends, and bank holidays depending on the events schedule.
Qualifications & Experience
• Proven experience in delivering large-scale events with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience working in food & beverage, banqueting, music, and entertainment settings.
• Strong operational experience and the ability to manage complexities in a venue.
• Financial acumen, including experience with P&L, margin control, and delivering within budget.
• Excellent client liaison, time management, and leadership skills.
