About the Role

This hybrid role is based out of the London Bridge headquarters (London, United Kingdom), where we embrace a flexible office and remote working model, requiring a minimum of 2 days a week in the office.

As an Events Manager, you will report to the Head of EMEA Marketing and be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of large/high profile events both internally and externally. You will lead Dotdigital's UK and European event marketing strategy, including owned/hosted events and third-party events such as tradeshows, conferences, and marketing festivals.

We need a reliable, highly organized, detail-oriented professional who excels at developing strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders from sales to customer success. In this dynamic role, you'll have great project management skills combined with a touch of creative marketing flair. You'll thrive under pressure, adeptly handle tight deadlines and budgets, and confidently demonstrate ROI from event investment, making you an exceptional plate spinner.

This position will require significant travel (UK and Europe).

So, what will the day-to-day be like?
You’ll be…
• Managing all aspects of event delivery including strategy, objectives materials creation, event messaging/marketing, signage, giveaways, contract negotiation, vendor relations, site selection, registration, agenda scheduling, staffing, on-site production, & logistics.
• Meeting objectives based on lead generation, customer advocacy, and much more.
• Negotiating sponsorships and other deliverables directly with vendors to get the best value for money.
• Working directly with Dotdigital's in-house legal team on supplier contract amends
• Communicating with the wider marketing team to execute launch plans with strategic third parties
• Conducting post-event/campaign evaluations and ROI analysis; reporting and sharing results and recommendations with sales team and marketing teams.
• Researching industry events and marketing/campaign opportunities and evaluating sponsorship based on Dotdigital’s key objectives and target audience.
• Managing the “SWAG” (or merch as it’s also known) for all events including itinerary, storage and delivery at events.
• Completing quarterly budget reviews and ROI analysis and adapting our strategy to align with your findings.
• Successfully prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets

About You

Standing out:

You will have a solid about of B2B event experience - from tradeshows to webinars and experience of sponsoring as well as hosting events (if you’ve got both you’ll know why we’re asking)

As we’re a SaaS business it would be really good if you had familiarity with the B2B software sales cycle, and how to use partners to nurture leads, progress opportunities, and accelerate closing (but it’s not vital)

You will have strong relationship and project management skills and creative marketing experience.

And ultimately you’ll live and breathe events!

What experience are we looking for?

You'll have:
• Between 3-5 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably at a software business
• Experience in displaying the ROI of events and creating event wrap-ups
• Excellent time management skills, proactive goal accountability, and strong organizational abilities
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision on projects
• Experience working in a fast-moving environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A hands-on attitude and creative use of limited resources
• High levels of commercial judgement (making informed decisions before spending money)
• Proficiency of marketing automation platforms and CRM systems
• Experience using project management tools such as Asana or Monday.com (a bonus!)

You'll be:
• Able to work two day a week from our London Bridge office.
• Able to build sound relationships with various stakeholders across the business
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Able and available to travel internationally when needed
• A team player with excellent collaboration skills, a passion for work, and a results-driven attitude
• A sociable person who loves to participate in social team events, both in and outside of work

Interview Process
• 15min Screening Call with Team Talent
• One-hour interview with the hiring manager, focusing on both your competencies and background to assess your potential fit for the role.
• For the final stage interview you will present a pre-assigned task to the hiring manager and senior team members, showcasing your skills and expertise to further demonstrate your compatibility with the role, note this may be in-person.
