Our client is a leading global financial services firm, providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. They are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Event Manager to join their dynamic team. This role involves conceptualising, planning, executing and managing events including client workshops, conferences, exhibitions and social client events. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining and updating the clients' database (Salesforce) and mailing lists. What you'll do:
As an Events Manager at our client's firm, you will play a crucial role in conceptualising, planning and executing various types of events. You will liaise closely with salespeople to understand their goals for each event and ensure these are met. Your responsibilities will also include developing detailed event plans and managing budgets. You will negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favourable terms while staying within financial constraints. In addition to this core function of event management, you will also be tasked with maintaining the client database (Salesforce) and mailing lists.
Conceptualise, plan, and execute events, including clients' workshops, conferences, exhibitions, and social events.
Liaise with Salespeople to understand their event goals, target audience, budget, and logistical requirements.
Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and schedules.
Create and manage event budgets.
Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and venues.
Prepare event invites, mailing lists and distribute invites.
Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown.
Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback.
Ensure all events comply with relevant legal, health, and safety requirements.
Process and renew subscriptions, professional memberships, and research requests.
