Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Events Manager to join our dynamic team in Mumbai, India. As an Events Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of corporate and social events, ensuring client satisfaction and achieving business goals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful event execution
• Create and manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics plans
• Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and audiovisual requirements
• Conduct site visits and pre-event meetings to ensure all details are addressed
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best possible terms
• Oversee on-site event operations and manage staff to ensure smooth execution
• Develop and implement innovative event concepts and themes
• Analyze post-event data and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new ideas into event planning
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout all events
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote events and maximize attendance
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in event management or a similar role
• Proven track record of successfully planning and executing diverse events
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office suite
• Experience in budget management and contract negotiation
• Knowledge of culinary and beverage trends
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work long hours, including evenings and weekends when required
• Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to build lasting client relationships
• Stress management skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Knowledge of local venues, vendors, and event resources in Mumbai is a plus
