About the Role
Commencing in 2026 - We are seeking a passionate and experienced Event Manager for the planning and delivery of Stand Tall’s major events and programs, including our annual flagship Stand Tall Sydney event, which inspires and engages thousands of students across Australia.
You will be responsible for the operational planning and delivery of events, working closely with the leadership team, contractors, suppliers, schools and volunteers. This is a hands-on role that requires outstanding organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, ensuring our events run seamlessly and delivers an unforgettable experience for young people and stakeholders alike.
Key Responsibilities - Event Planning & Delivery
Lead the coordination, planning, and delivery of Stand Tall events, including fundraising initiatives and community activations.
Manage all aspects of event operations — including bump-in and bump-out schedules, venue logistics, catering, and supplier coordination — working closely with other team to ensure all timelines, resources, and deliverables are accurate and completed on time.
Prepare and manage event documentation, including event plans, risk assessments, run sheets and WHS compliance.
Oversee the recruitment, induction and coordination of volunteers to support event delivery.
Provide post-event reports and evaluations to inform future planning and continuous improvement.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Event Management or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in managing large-scale events with years of experience.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
The ability to work well within a team environment and show support for our close-knit team
Be able to lead a large team of volunteers and communicate well under high pressure, ensuring all team members and volunteers have a great experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with high attention to detail.
Passion for youth and alignment with the mission of Stand Tall.
