The Special Events Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of exceptional service and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for attendees during all corporate, incentive groups and all special social and wedding events. This role involves coordinating event logistics and maintaining high standards of customer service. The Special Events Manager works closely with the hotel sales team, event planners, vendors, and clients to ensure that service operations align with the event's objectives and meet or exceed customer expectations.

Whatyou'll do:
• EventPlanning: Collaborate with the leadership team to define event goals,objectives, and themes. Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines,budgets, and resources required.
• Responsible for increasing sales volume by developing key relationships with new accounts while prioritizing delivery of outstanding client experiences.
• Budgetingand Financial Management: Create and manage event budgets, ensuring effectiveallocation of resources and adherence to financial targets. Track and report onexpenses and revenue to evaluate event profitability.
• VenueSelection and Logistics: Identify suitable event venues and negotiatecontracts. Coordinate logistics, such as catering, audiovisual equipment,transportation, and accommodations, to ensure a smooth event operation.
• VendorManagement: Source, select, and manage vendors, suppliers, and contractors forevent-related services. Develop and maintain strong relationships to securefavorable pricing and quality services.
• Marketingand Promotion:Develop and implement target segment action/territory planstopromote events andincrease attendance. Collaborate with the marketing team to create eventmaterials, including invitations, websites, social media campaigns, and pressreleases.
• ProgramDevelopment: Create event programs and agendas, including keynote speakers,panel discussions, workshops, and entertainment. Coordinate with speakers andpresenters to ensure their needs are met and their participation is well-organized.
• Remain current and knowledgeable of latest industry trends and developments.
• Arrange and conduct site inspections for clients while providing customized prop
• Engage in regular community outreach and attend local networking events while maintaining an immersive presence in the local and regional hospitality industry.
• Evaluationand Reporting: Conduct post-event evaluations with the Director of Events to assess event success andidentify areas for improvement. Prepare reports summarizing key metrics,attendee feedback, and recommendations for future events.

Who you are:
• 3+years in event management, preferably in the hospitality industry
• Provenexperience in planning and executing successful special events
• Strongproject management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritizeeffectively
• Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to workcollaboratively with diverse stakeholders
• Exceptionalorganizational and attention to detail abilities
• Budgetingand financial management skills
• Proficiencyin event management software and tools
• Knowledgeof marketing and promotional strategies
• Flexibilityto work evenings, weekends, and travel as required
