Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and innovative Events + Marketing Manager to lead our education and event portfolio. The Events + Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering exceptional event experiences that align with the goals and values of Associations North. This position requires a creative and strategic thinker who can conceptualize, plan, and manage a wide range of events, from conferences to networking events and workshops.
Responsibilities
Oversee Event + Education Portfolio: Collaborate with the leadership team to develop a comprehensive events strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and objectives. Identify opportunities for growth and improvement in event offerings.
Event Design + Development: Develop creative event concepts that engage and resonate with the target audience. Incorporate innovative ideas, formats, and technologies to enhance event experiences. Oversee the creation of event agendas, session topics, and speaker selection. Ensure that event content is relevant, educational, and addresses the needs of association professionals.
Logistics + Operations: Manage all aspects of event logistics, including committee relations, venue selection, contract negotiation, catering, audiovisual setup, transportation, and other essential details. Ensure seamless execution and a positive attendee experience.
Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses, revenue, and cost-saving opportunities. Provide regular budget updates to leadership and make informed financial decisions to maximize ROI.
Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement event marketing strategies. Utilize various channels to promote events, increase attendance, and enhance brand visibility.
Sponsorship and Partnership: Identify and cultivate relationships and sales with new and returning event partners, sponsors, exhibitors, and industry stakeholders to enhance event offerings and generate additional revenue streams.
Evaluation and Improvement: Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and insights from attendees, sponsors, and stakeholders. Use data to continuously improve event quality and effectiveness.

Qualifications
• Proven track record of successfully planning and executing a variety of events, preferably in the association or nonprofit sector.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Creative thinking and a passion for staying updated with industry trends.
