About the Role
Bayside Council is looking for an experienced Events Officer, with a creative flare, to join the Events, Arts and Design Unit. The role is responsible for working with the events team to plan, organise, and deliver the Council's annual events calendar. The team are looking for fresh eyes to work with them to enhance what is already being delivered. The right person will be strong on both logistics, delivery and creativity.
We are looking for a someone who is:
Skilled, and has experience in event design, production, and delivery of major and minor events
.
Experienced in developing project budgets, undertaking quotations, tenders and overseeing contractor management for events
.
Experienced in the technical aspects of delivering major outdoor events and road closures
.
Experienced in drafting, implementing, and updating risk assessments, and the various plans associated with events including safety, security, traffic, hostile vehicle and contingency plans such as adverse weather
.
About You
Tertiary qualifications in Event Management or relevant fiel
d
Experience working on large scale events, as well as smaller event
s
Demonstrate experience in Risk Management of major community event
s
