Purpose:

Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and design EWP projects using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Chief Architect, and SolidWorks.
• Interpret and apply local building codes and regulations relevant to engineered wood products.
• Collaborate directly with customers to understand project needs and ensure successful execution.
• Create material lists and perform accurate plan takeoffs for project estimating.
• Coordinate project details and communicate effectively with co-workers to support team alignment and knowledge sharing.
• Manage project timelines, assist with cost estimates, and ensure design accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
• Relevant degree (associates or bachelors) preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Chief Architect, Sketchup, or SolidWorks preferred
• Understands how to use the International Residential Code book span charts
• At least one year of experience working as an EWP designer
• General computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite, ERP system knowledge preferred
