Job Description
You will be required to work in Southland, but may from time to time be required to travel or relocate to other regions for work, including Auckland, Wellington, Manawatu-Whanganui, Hawke's Bay, Canterbury, Nelson, Tasman, Marlborough and Otago.
This is a permenent full-time role with guaranteed 30 hours per week.
This role is responsible for operating heavy excavation plants to carry out hard landscaping excavation and site preparation works.
This role requires strong landscaping and excavation experience, ability to read levels and work to grade and efficient operators who understand production targets.
The role will support project managers, site supervisors, and engineers, to ensure site preparation work is completed safely and in accordance with regulatory standards.
As a team player, the role will also be required to support and assist with all manner of general construction duties, site set out, and tidying under guidance of a Senior Construction Consultant.
You need to demonstrate:
3 years’ relevant experience in heavy plant operations
Current New Zealand Driver’s Licence or equivalent, or ability to obtain
WTR endorsements (Wheels, Tracks & Rollers) essential
Can work unsupervised or part of a team
Willing to undergo pre-employment drug screening
Able to complete basic paperwork when needed
Understands and practices the principles of zero harm
Calm, professional temperament and a good work ethic
