Job Description - Oracle DBA
• Database Management : Good understanding of internals, architecture of database management systems, including the ability to install, configure, and manage an Oracle database. Should have worked with 11g,12c and 1+c.
• Cloud Computing : Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and how to migrate an Oracle database to the cloud. Preferably AWS RDS.
• Performance Tuning : Experience in tuning database performance, such as optimizing queries and memory usage. Should be able to work with OEM, AWR and various tuning scripts and tools
• Security : Understanding of security best practices, such as securing the database, creating users, and granting privileges. Familiarity with at - rest and in - transit database protection methods. DB Patching and security fixes
• Backup and Recovery : Ability to create and manage database backups and perform disaster recovery procedures. Should have excellent exposure to RMAN and Datapump
• Monitoring : Familiarity with database monitoring tools and the ability to monitor database performance and resolve performance issues. Should be able to work with OEM and Shell scripting for monitoring and alerts
