Position Description
Software Engineer - QA
Role mission & context
In this position you would be playing the role of Software Engineer and take complete responsibility to maintain the quality of the deliverables for PLS application. The application has been used in production for many years and is still being implemented for several new sites. The application is part of the GTO MTM program and are still undergoing comprehensive development, adding further functionality.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Delivery Manager – Order & Planning India, under Technology – CPA Manufacturing- Planning Manufacturing
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As a Software Engineer, you should have the:
Proven experience in working with manual testing / automation test scripts using UFT
Practical knowledge of software testing principles. Test design skills allowing for effective testing based on requirements
Awareness of IT Service Test Procedure
Basics of risk mitigation strategies
Good understanding of the process related to the delivery of development service and basics of other relevant IT Service processes. Basic understanding of project control models
Good understanding of relevant business processes in the area of assignment. Basic knowledge of other Customer processes.
Competencies:
Relevant University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering.
3-5 years of experience as a QA Specialist IT.
Good database knowledge using SQL.
You have excellent communication & presentation skills.
You can navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment and actively cooperate with various stakeholders.
You focus strong on quality and you have a personal drive to reach objectives and targets.
Continuous improvement is your nature and you can drive changes.
Complete proficiency in English is a requirement.
