PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This position is part of the Credit Team within Volvo Financial Services (VFS) India. The selected candidate will be tasked with supporting the Credit Managers with credit appraisals from Volvo/Eicher customers who apply for financing with VFS India, in adherence with laid down credit policies and with the overall business objective of building the asset book in a safe manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Compile and review the documentation submitted along with the credit application
Support the credit application processing, including financial analysis of customers, viability analysis of the transaction, checking applicants’ references and credit rating with the credit bureau
Proactively communicate with Sales Team and Customers as needed
Proactively endeavour to obtain additional credit information to support credit decisions at one go to offer a better customer experience
Ensure complete adherence to the laid down policies of credit and approval authorities in VFS
Ensure maintenance of updated and complete credit files in the VFS IT System
Develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships ensuring a balanced customer service
Ensure communication of relevant information proactively to Credit Team in VFS
Ensure data integrity, develop, and disseminate MIS to VFS management.
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
M.B.A. (Finance) / ICWA / CFA / equivalent post graduate degree from a reputed University / Institute preferred
2 plus year of credit underwriting experience in an NBFC or retail bank
Sound knowledge of local market, industry trends in CV and CE industries and customer base would be good to have but not mandatory
Be a self-starter with a demonstrated track record.
Willingness to work and adapt to a fast growing & changing environment.
Ability to work independently, learn quickly and be proactive.

Strong interpersonal skills, customer focus and strong ability to communicate
