Primary objective
Provide executive level administrative support and coordination for the Executive Director, Liquor, Racing and Gaming.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide executive administration support to the Executive Director, Liquor, Racing and Gaming and if required, other
Directors within Licensing NT to enable them to meet their operational and strategic objectives.
2. Maintain diaries, information technology and office equipment, and coordinate meetings, papers, travel, accommodation,
and vehicle management.
3. Coordinate and assist in the preparation of monthly reports and general correspondence, meeting minutes and records
management.
4. Undertake specific research and other projects to support Licensing NT as required.
5. Liaise effectively with all staff within the Division, the Department, external agencies and organisations to assist in the
smooth day to day operations of the Division’s activities.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. High level organisational skills and proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities to achieve results and meet
deadlines within tight time constraints whilst maintaining attention to detail.
2. Demonstrated high level written and oral communication, with the proven ability to understand stakeholder requirements
and tailor communication styles and messages accordingly.
3. Demonstrated experience working effectively in an executive support, or similar, role requiring confidentiality, initiative,
integrity and high levels of personal motivation.
4. Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire, protocols, procedures and standards for the preparation of significant and
sensitive documents such as ministerial correspondence, briefings and cabinet documents.
5. Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, high standards of customer service to internal and external
stakeholders.
6. Demonstrated experience with standard office programs, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, travel and
records management systems in either the private or public sector.
Desirable
1. Understanding of Northern Territory Liquor, Racing and Gambling legislation and practices.
