Are you an experienced Executive Assistant looking for a new opportunity? Our client is looking for an AO4 Executive Assistant like you to join their Independent Statutory Authority. This is a short fixed-term opportunity with potential extensions within the forensics industry, where every day is different.

About the Team

This role is within a specialised function that supports criminal justice and colonial systems in Queensland. They provide analytical and advisory services in illicit drug analysis, clandestine drug laboratory investigation and trace evidence examinations. Additionally, they conduct examinations of exhibit and biological material screening for testing including DNA analysis, interpretation, statistical interpretation and development of statements for court.

About the Role

As their Executive Assistant, you will provide support to several key stakeholders including, Manager – Biology, Manager – Laboratory Management Unit, and Deputy Manager – Case Management Unit. You will oversee the seamless coordination of administration processes, managing competing priorities with short deadlines while maintaining confidentiality. If you are an organised, fast-paced individual with excellent stakeholder management skills, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities

Inbox, diary and meeting management

Organising travel, accommodation, itinerary and business arrangements

Expense claims

Briefing managers on meetings and coordinating meeting agendas

Referring correspondence to appropriate channels

Providing general business support on issues including HR, financial, IT, information management, planning and reporting

General reception duties such as taking inbound calls and creating visitor logs

Your Experience

Demonstrated experience as an Executive Assistant providing high-level of executive support and administration services in a busy environment

Knowledge of administration processes and functions in a complex environment governed by legislation

Existing knowledge of financial HR, IT, information management, planning and reporting processes

Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills

Careful attention to detail and organisational skills

Competent in Word, Excel, Outlook, Content Manager and other software

Experience in operations, procurement, contracts or logistics is highly regarded
