• *Position Summary**
The Executive Assistant to the Chief Talent and Human Resources Officer provides high-level administrative support for the implementation of operational activities and programs within the Division of Human Resources. This role includes managing daily office operations, coordinating events, supporting key HR initiatives, organizing communications, and overseeing programs related to employee engagement, retention, and talent management.

• *Key Relationships** Senior Leadership within DHR, Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief Talent and Human Resources Officer, external partners, vendors, and the public
• *Responsibilities**
• *Administrative Support**
- Manage calendars for the CTHRO and senior leadership including meeting coordination
- Draft correspondence, handle inquiries, and ensure timely follow-up
- Conduct research, prepare reports, and organize materials for HR initiatives
- Act as point of contact for HR-related inquiries and provide top-tier service
• *Office Management**
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the office
- Maintain calendars, files, and documentation
- Manage supplies and equipment and ensure maintenance of the office
- Develop and implement office procedures and identify operational improvements
• *Event Coordination**
- Plan and coordinate internal and external HR events such as employee recognition and workshops
- Lead logistics for monthly employee engagement sessions and other events
- Organize and manage book club activities including scheduling and facilitation
• *Human Resources Exposure**
- Support recruitment efforts including outreach, interview scheduling, and onboarding
- Contribute to retention and engagement strategies
- Assist in development and execution of training and leadership programs
• *Customer Service and Communication**
- Maintain professional communication with vendors, partners, and HR staff
- Deliver high-quality customer service and handle sensitive HR matters with discretion
• *Qualification Requirements**
• *Minimum**
- A bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in community work or related activities
- Or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of relevant experience
- Or a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above with at least one year of experience in community work
• *Preferred**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Three to five years of experience in administration, office management, or event coordination
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse audiences including Artificial Intelligence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Experience in HR or talent management environments
- Familiarity with event planning, project management, and organizational development
- Proficiency with HRIS systems or related software

Internal candidates selected for this position who currently hold comparable or less senior positions within the DOE will not earn less than their current salary
