Financial Consultant: Regulatory Reporting, Financial Reporting, Liquidity Reporting, Fund Accounting and Corporate Treasury

The practice is led by a partner with close to 17 years' experience including more than a decade of strong financial services experience in London covering finance, treasury, regulatory and financial reporting consultancy across global investment banks, broker dealers, custodians, asset management firms etc. and who has also worked with the Central Bank of England in their policy division for 2 years developing new rules on Basel 3, IFRS + etc.
We are looking for candidates who have relevant experience of working in the Financial Services sector. Financial Services sector includes Banks, NBFC's, Insurance Companies and Asset Management Companies.
The candidate should have good fundamental understanding of functions like Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting including Liquidity Reporting, Fund Accounting and Corporate Treasury. Strong understanding of end to end process & controls including souring of golden source of data framework along with understanding of different phases of Change Management like Requirement Gathering, Design and Testing phases will be an add on.
Key Responsibilities:
• Understanding of Credit Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk
• Support Statutory, Regulatory & Management reporting
• Review of end to end Regulatory Reporting process considering requirements of UK PRA, EBA, RBI, Fed etc.
• Experience in EU FINREP (Strong understanding of IFRS Financial reporting) & EU COREP
• Comprehensive understanding of Liquidity Reports such as LCR, NSFR, ALMM and ability to comprehend the dynamic nature of Corporate Treasury requirements single handedly.
• Expertise in Accounting in accordance with IGAAP/IFRS/Ind AS/ US GAAP
• Ensure integrity and completeness of financial records.
• Ensuring business unit/ legal entity information provided to be consolidated in Company's statutory financial statements is accurate.
• Monthly compliance monitoring of investment funding.
• Month end accounting, Balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Consolidation of all existing control issues.
• Assist BAU teams in remediating and documenting controls.
• Support strategic implementation of new operating model and controls
• Finance Change implementation using agile method of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Developing Business Required Documents (BRD), Performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) testing
• Involvement in finance transformation work as a Finance Change Business Analyst (BA) driving forward such transformation initiatives
• Managing client relationship and handle first level escalations
• Proactively seeking client feedback to further improve service level standards.
• Coordinate requests and responses from/to stakeholders, e.g. internal auditors, skilled persons, etc.
• Continuously innovate with focus to improve process - enhance efficiencies and add value
• Ensuring compliance with finance control standards for the reporting entity.
Key Skills -
• Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills & strong stakeholder management skills
• CA or MBA Finance
• 0-5 years of relevant post qualification experience in financial services with a strong focus on either of regulatory reporting, financial reporting, fund accounting or corporate treasury.
• Strong focus on Accounting systems, Reporting tools and excellent hands on Microsoft Excel and PPT.
• Exposure to data governance frameworks
• Strong technical background, preferably knowledge of International Financial Reporting standards (IFRS)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands on in SQL coding, Python & R.
• Flexible and adaptable, able to work on multiple projects at any one time.
