Our Global Service Centers are an integral part of Global Operations. Employees based there manage day-to-day customer transactions and processes for the global businesses. This may include transactions for our retail bank such as processing loans, credit cards, insurance and mortgage applications, opening new accounts, and managing customer enquiries through contact centers and digital platforms. Employees in the Global Service centers also run and manage operations for commercial bank customers. This includes processing credit applications, facilitating payments and managing the import and export transactions that enable customers to protect and grow their businesses through international trade.
The Opportunity:
Trade is a core product for the Group across various customer segments, including GBM, CMB, and Private Banking. rules and regulations. The jobholder is responsible providing a high level of customer service by processing Trade and Receivables Finance transactions within the service level parameters, minimising operational risk by applying a high degree of attention and ensuring accuracy. The job holder will need a good understanding in Trade operations in terms of technical knowledge, thorough understanding of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) published rules as well as TRF FIM, Internal Controls and Group Compliance Policy including international sanctions etc.
What you'll do:
• The nature of the role requires the job holder to have a good understanding of the Trade business and industry standards such as UCP. Completion of SELF/development plans.
• Satisfactory completion of coastline Stay abreast of industry requirements and legislation such as ICC opinions and UCP600
• Active participation in CR and Centre projects
• Sharing of ideas across teams Requirements
What you will need to succeed in the role:
• Good International Trade experience and background required, working knowledge of ICC Publications UCP600
• Awareness of the trade facilities and customer trade cycles
• Awareness applicable to the role, of the content and application of ICC rules as related to Documentary Credits and Collections and of internal control procedures,
• Good knowledge of the systems/ applications used in Trade processing.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent English (written and verbal) communication skills
What additional skills will be good to have?
• Graduate from a reputed Institute or University in any discipline
• Strong understanding of ICC rules such as UCP / ISBP / ISP
• Must have minimum 3 years of experience in Trade ops
• Should be aware of AML and sanctions screening procedures in Trade
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
