Executive Chef
Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee all kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and restaurant management, with a creative flair for menu development and a commitment to food safety. As the Executive Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences while managing kitchen staff and maintaining high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive culinary plan that aligns with the restaurant’s long- and short-term objectives.
Establish and maintain high-quality food standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
Monitor menu pricing, ensuring it aligns with food costs, inventory, and supply expenses.
Collaborate on the creation of seasonal, monthly, or annual menus that reflect culinary innovation and market trends.
Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to manage and monitor food, beverage, and labor budgets.
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including Sous Chefs, Specialist Chefs, Cooks, and Assistants, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of kitchen equipment, arranging for repairs or replacements as needed.
Track and analyze kitchen operating costs to maintain budgetary compliance.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Head Chef or Executive Chef role within a high-volume, quality-focused establishment.
Proven ability to develop and execute creative and innovative culinary concepts.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations, kitchen equipment maintenance, and operational best practices.
Experience in budget management, cost control, and inventory management.
Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
