Qualifications
At least 4 years of progressive hotel sales experience or a 4 year college degree and at least 2 year of related experience or a 2 year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
Must have a valid driver’s license in the applicable state
Must be skilled in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing
Long hours sometimes required
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests
Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc
from various sources to meet appropriate objectives
The ideal candidate should have excellent customer relationship skills and the ability to effectively close business as well as strong time management skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities
REPORTS TO: Director of Sales
The Executive Meeting Manager is an integral part of the sales team focused on working with smaller groups (up to 25 rooms/peak) and smaller meetings of 50 guests or less
This position works on all aspects of the sales process from receiving inquiry calls, booking business, confirming details, and working with the group while they are on-site while achieving targeted revenue goals, and finalizing details of definite meetings and events
Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
Maintain regular attendance in compliance
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing nametags
Comply with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions
Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
Perform other duties as requested by management
Answering telephone inquiries and qualifying clients for meetings and events
Book repeat business by having a track record of long-term client relationships
Comfortable with hotel site inspections and client presentations
Work closely with the banquet department on operations and event execution
Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action
Provide overall direction, coordination, and ongoing evaluation of operations
Detailed execution of all banquet event orders for the groups and meetings
Monitor group room blocks and pick up, generate detailed resumes for the operating departments
Ability to work with outside vendors to ensure client satisfaction for all events/groups

JOB SUMMARY
