Job Description
To qualify for this position, you should have a high school diploma or GED with 6 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area. Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major along with 4 years of experience in the culinary field is also acceptable.
Your core work activities will involve providing direction for all day-to-day kitchen operations, setting and maintaining goals for culinary function and activities, ensuring culinary standards and responsibilities are met, providing exceptional customer service, and managing and conducting various human resource activities. You will be expected to develop guidelines and control procedures for purchasing and receiving areas, manage department controllable expenses, maintain safety standards, and provide support behaviors that exceed customer satisfaction.
Your role will also include coaching and mentoring kitchen associates, administering performance appraisals, managing employee progressive discipline procedures, and identifying developmental needs of others. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing information to executive teams, managers, and supervisors, analyzing information, and evaluating results to choose the best solutions to solve problems.
