The ACT Public Advocate and Children and Young People Commissioner (PA/CYPC) is seeking a passionate, highly organised, and motivated Executive Support Officer to assist her in managing the demands of her two statutory roles.
The successful applicant will apply their excellent organisational skills to efficiently and effectively manage day-to-day administration of the PA/CYPC’s office, including by improving systems and coordinating workflow to ensure priorities and deadlines are met. Demonstrated experience in office management and administrative responsibilities such as diary and email management, responding to telephone enquiries, organising travel, coordinating meetings and providing secretariat support, and organising community engagement events will be highly regarded.
The ideal candidate will share the PA/CYPC’s commitment to protecting and promoting the rights and interests of children, young people, and adults in the ACT who are potentially vulnerable to abuse, neglect, and exploitation, including by upholding the ACT Child Safe Standards.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Previous/current experience in executive support roles is highly desirable.
