Experienced Carpenters and Construction Craft Persons

Sunrise Building Company is looking to hire! We are a Bancroft-based Home and Cottage Construction and Renovation company covering cottage country area north of Peterborough, Belleville and east of Haliburton. We pride ourselves on working closely with our customers to design and finish a quality and beautiful project to be enjoyed for years to come. Full time positions are available for individuals with the trade skills and attitude that make our team unstoppable. Pay is commensurate with experience and future raises are based on job performance.

Be respectful of authority and be able to take, and carry out direction
Be able to lead a team and manage a job site with little supervision when senior staff are unavailable

Be willing to learn and grow strengthening your craft and creating projects that we can be proud of for years to come.
Perform related duties as assigned
Be able to read and interpret blueprints
Have a valid driver's licence with your own means of transportation within the vicinity of Bancroft
Have residential construction work experience - attention to detail is crucial - quality control is a MUST. Sunrise Building Company deals with all aspects of building, from foundation to trim. Trade Seal or Certified Carpenter an asset, but experience is most valuable.
Be physically fit to perform manual labour with some heavy lifting, frequent ladder climbing, and working at heights
Maintain a clean and organized job site
Have a good understanding of job safety, understand and know how to use various hand and power tools in a safe, respectful and effective manner
Have own basic tools and safety gear
Be able to perform under pressure and be prepared to work long days in inclement weather
Have organizational and prioritizing skills
Conduct yourself in a professional manner
Have Working at Heights Certification and valid drivers license or reliable transportation to the shop or job site
