CHEF
For a busy and dynamic Indian restaurant, we are seeking an experienced Chef with a strong background in cooking North and South Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have Australian qualifications and 2-3 years of experience working in a multi-cuisine restaurant in Brisbane, QLD.
The successful applicant will be fully conversant with health and safety regulations in Australia and able to work odd hours. Key duties include:
• Examining food to ensure quality of raw and cooked food
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment
• Preparing, cooking, and seasoning food
• Portioning food, placing on plates, adding gravies, and garnishing dishes
• Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
• Estimating and preparing food for catering orders as required
The ideal candidate must be able to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. We would also need the successful applicant to lead the culinary team, design menus and specials according to seasons and market requirements, and follow preset recipes while training junior kitchen staff in basic handling of duties.

What We Offer:
• Competitive salary range: $74,000 - $80,000 AUD per year
