Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fuel Hauler to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of fuel to various locations. This role requires a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while adhering to all regulations and company policies.
Duties
Safely transport fuel from distribution points to designated locations while following all safety protocols and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
Maintain accurate logs of fuel deliveries, including quantities and delivery times.
Operate heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading fuel.
Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as required.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal transportation regulations.
Rotating shift is 4 days on and 4 days off with potential of a 5 and 2 shift.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly in fuel hauling or similar freight transportation.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to hazardous materials transportation.
Experience with mountain and winter road driving. Super B experience an asset.
Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for maintaining vehicle performance.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
