Stellarossa Morayfield Cafe is on the hunt for passionate and fun-loving Experienced Kitchen Team Members (Chefs, Cooks and Kitchen Hands) to join our dynamic team. Stellarossa Coffee began in Brisbane in 200+, and since then, we’ve grown throughout Queensland to include kiosks, cafes and drive thru cafes. Each café is locally owned and operated, meaning our franchise owners are emotionally invested in making their business work. At our stores, you will find unique menus featuring Stellarossa core dishes and local favourites.
About the Role
Working in the kitchen at Stellarossa Morayfield Cafe, you'll be busy preparing delicious, fresh meals for dine-in and takeaway. You'll be involved in every aspect of the process, including prep, frying, grilling, plating, cleaning, organising, and ensuring all of the necessary checks and balances are taking place. There's a menu that changes every 6 months, and lots of room to infuse some flair with daily and weekly blackboard specials and cabinet goodies. We also regularly hold events and provide catering food and drinks. This is a casual position with lots of hours on offer including weekday and weekend work.
For Kitchen Team Members:
Prepare, cook and plate dishes according to Stellarossa’s recipes and standards.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.
Support the team in managing kitchen operations and ensuring food quality.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients with a focus on improving efficiency and workflow during busy periods.
Comply with health and safety regulations.
Ensure appropriate food preparation procedures are followed to supply meals that meet dietary and allergy requirements
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a cook, kitchenhand or chef.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
A responsible, reliable, mature and structured disposition
High energy and productivity levels.
Openness to learning and following systems.
