Experienced Oracle Database Engineer : PL/SQL Support
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle Database Programmer with at least 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with PL/SQL and SQL in Oracle databases, and be able to design, develop and maintain database applications to support our business needs.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop and maintain database applications using PL/SQL and SQL in Oracle databases
• Create and modify database structures, tables, procedures, triggers and other database objects
• Develop complex queries, reports, and data extracts to support business operations and decision-making
• Optimize and tune SQL queries for improved performance and scalability
• Participate in database design and architecture discussions and make recommendations for improvements
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Develop and maintain database documentation and data dictionaries
• Provide technical support to end-users and troubleshoot database issues
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Programmer, with expertise in PL/SQL and SQL
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, data modeling, and database design principles
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries
• Experience with Oracle SQL Developer or similar database development tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience with Java, .NET, or other programming languages is a plus
