Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced painter to join our team, specializing in residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various painting techniques, construction site experience, and a comprehensive understanding of schematics and blueprints. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including renovation, restoration, and new construction, utilizing advanced skills in both hand and power tools. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently within a team or independently.
Duties
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer as needed
Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, or other equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise application of finishes
Perform drywall installation and repair, trim carpentry, stucco application, and masonry work when required
Execute renovation and remodeling tasks including fixture installation and restoration projects
Operate construction tools such as hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and scaffolding safely and effectively
Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites
Assist with estimating project costs by understanding construction estimating principles and basic math calculations
Collaborate with project managers and contractors to meet project specifications and deadlines
Skills
Extensive experience in residential and commercial painting projects
Proficiency with construction estimating and blueprint reading
Knowledge of color theory for aesthetic applications
Skilled in handling hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and scaffolding
Strong background in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry, concrete finishing, welding, and fixture installation
Familiarity with schematics for industrial painting or maintenance tasks
Ability to perform renovation work including remodeling and restoration projects
Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety protocols
Basic math skills for measurements and estimations
Handyman experience encompassing carpentry skills such as framing and demolition
