We're seeking talented Line Cooks to join our team at Pizzeria Portofino, a casual pizzeria located on the Chicago riverfront.

Pizzeria Portofino is a sun-drenched restaurant that instantly transports you to the Riviera, offering expansive all-weather patio seating on its 130-foot outdoor terrace. Our menu features hand-stretched pizzas, vegetable antipasti, and artisan pastas, paired with a robust spritz program and approachable coastal wines.

Line Cook Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Prepare menu items according to prescribed recipes and special requests
Available to work various hours, days, and shifts, including weekends
Safely use and operate necessary tools and equipment, including knives
Effectively communicate in written and spoken direction
Multitask calmly under pressure
Work in a confined, crowded space with variable noise and temperature levels
Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
Stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Follow portioning controls and par levels
Maintain food safety and quality standards
Read a thermometer correctly and efficiently
Communicate food delays or issues to Coordinator
Maintain menu item counts and communicate to Management and service staff
Accurately account for all items coming out of the station
Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions
Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
Follow rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment
Get along well with others and be a team player
