Job description:
Boeing company is currently looking for an Experienced Software Engineer – Virtualization to join their project management team in Bangalore.
Shape the future of aircraft development while transforming the way Boeing develops software. As a Software Engineer, you will develop next generation simulation systems that will enable engineering test of flight software. Your products will ensure Boeing’s aircraft continue to be the safest and most efficient to fly.
Primary Responsibilities
This is a software development role. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• You will be working closely with system software engineers to design, develop, optimize, debug, unit test, document and maintain Virtualization infrastructure to support simulators.
• Developing and maintaining code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
• Serving as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.
Accuracy and accountability are key. You will be expected to:
• Track and evaluate software team performance.
• Develop software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments.
You will work under general direction as part of an agile development team.
Required qualifications:
• Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and + to 12 years' experience, Master's degree with 7 to 10 years' experience or PhD degree with experience.
• In depth understanding of the Memory management and CPU Scheduling, Interrupts, Virtualization architecture (Preferably KVM/QEMU/libvirt).
• Hands on working experience with Linux device drivers, Kernel modules and ability to work close to the hardware.
• Proficient in C/C++ with strong software development, optimization and problem-solving skills
• Strong debugging skills and extensive experience using gdb/kgdb/windbg to analyze complex pieces of software.
• Having Good knowledge of Hardware, Embedded, Firmware, Microcontroller/Microprocessor and FPGA.
• Having hands on exp on embedded interface – I2C, SPI, UART, ADC.
• Worked on Board bring up, bootloader, low level device driver on LINUX, BARE METAL, RTOS platform.
• Working knowledge of Python/C/C++
• Strong written and oral interpersonal skills for creating and improving technical documents, and to effectively engage globally distributed engineering team.
• Excellent working knowledge of the entire software development lifecycle
Preferred qualifications:
• Understanding of Virtualization concepts
• Experience of any RTOS (DEOS,Vxworks)
• Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, memory controllers, dma, PCI etc)
Typical education & experience:
• Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and + to 12 years' experience, Master's degree with 7 to 10 years' experience or PhD degree with experience.
• Bachelor, master, or doctorate of science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
