What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Information Technology team?
Design, develop and test to create quality solutions on time and within budget. To collaborate with business teams / functional teams and IT counterparts for daily support incidents and project activities in different business areas across all geographies.
Ability to understand the requirements related to business problems and transform that into a solution design.
Who are you…
You are a developer -
• Develop, implement and configure web content management solutions using Adobe Experience Manager and technologies such as Java, HTML/DHTML, XML, JavaScript and web services
• Understand and apply Information Technology standards to daily support and project implementation activities
• Applying conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to tackle highly sophisticated business processes and procedural problems
• Manage and/or perform the design, build and testing of business applications and its architecture in line with agreed time frames, business requirements and global standards
• Maintain production systems reliability through correct utilization of IT standards and governance processes
• Review program codes and suggest correction in case of any errors
You connect the dots -
• Understand the Company’s technical environment and how we use technology to across multiple platforms
• Provide input into estimating engagement activities and implement engagements following the Agile methodology including SCRUM.
• Support day to day business requirements according to global SLA
• Ensure the proper use of information technology project management methodology to align with governance practices
You are a collaborator -
• Assist internal and vendor teams in achieving strategic e-business objectives through technology solution implementation, taking a technical leadership role in some circumstances.
• Document knowledge and standard methodologies.
• Collaborate with business / functional team, develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation of project
• Mentor and coach junior developer resources

• Deliver high quality development services to growing marketing needs.
• Proactively gain a level of technical expertise through internally and externally available learning opportunities as applicable as well as self-study.
• Conduct performance tuning to improve system performance over multiple business processes

What You’ll Need…(Required)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years Web development experience
• 2+ years of development experience with Adobe Experience Manager
• Java Development experience in a team environment.
• Experience in the development of Java Server Pages and related technologies
• Experience in HTML, DHTML, CSS and Javascript
• Knowledge of Java IDEs and source control management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as customer relationship building skills.
• Adapt to and work optimally with a variety of engagements and in challenging situations.
• Desire to participate in and help build and strengthen a team-oriented environment.
• Strong alignment to a consistent delivery methodology and associated deliverable generation.
• Administration and debugging of Web servers, e.g. Apache is a plus.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming Methodology & Practice, ideally with designing and programming of applications using Object Oriented Programming Methodology applying Java language constructs
• Experiene product development using Agile framework such as SCRUM
