WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join our Application Engineering experts within the AI, Insights & Solutions team. This team is part of Bain’s digital capabilities practice, which includes experts in analytics, engineering, product management, and design. In this multidisciplinary environment, you'll leverage deep technical expertise with business acumen to help clients tackle their most transformative challenges. You’ll work on integrated teams alongside our general consultants and clients to develop data-driven strategies and innovative solutions. Together, we create human-centric solutions that harness the power of data and artificial intelligence to drive competitive advantage for our clients. Our collaborative and supportive work environment fosters creativity and continuous learning, enabling us to consistently deliver exceptional results.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Deliver High-Impact Solutions: Oversee the development of AI solutions at all stages of the product lifecycle, from Proof of Concept (PoC) and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to production-scale deployment. Develop reusable accelerators and client-ready solutions in partnership with Bain’s Industry Practices.
• Engage with Stakeholders: Collaborate with Bain partners and clients to promote the AIS capabilities, understand client needs, and tailor solutions accordingly. Occasionally engage directly with clients to solve complex problems and provide strategic guidance.
• Ensure Engineering Excellence: Maintain high standards of engineering quality and leverage diverse technologies to meet client needs.
ABOUT YOU
• Education: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 12+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years managing engineering teams. Prior experience setting up or managing an engineering hub is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in fundamental computer science principles, software design best practices, and software development workflows. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps).
• Other Skills:
• Strong leadership skills to inspire and guide a team toward delivering high-quality solutions under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, articulate technical solutions, and build trust in Bain’s capabilities.
• Commitment to mentoring and nurturing the next generation of engineering talent.
• Excellent collaboration skills, working effectively with global teams across diverse functions.
