Senior Cobol Developer Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cobol developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications using Cobol programming language.

About the Project

The project involves the refactoring or migration of existing applications as part of an IDMS to DB2 conversion. The goal is to ensure that the converted programs behave in the same way as they did before, but with the benefit of using a different data source.

• The project started in 2018 with ~750 IDMS records in our schema. We divided the schema up into 15 implementations and are currently completing the design work for the 13th implementation.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Cobol developer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring that the program continues to execute correctly, if not setting it up for removal.

• Generating a
