Position Overview:
As an Export Executive in a German Multinational Corporation (MNC), your primary responsibility will be to manage and oversee the company's export activities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, coordinating shipments, and maintaining relationships with global partners. Your objective will be to facilitate smooth and efficient export operations while maximizing profitability and minimizing risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Export Operations Management:
Plan, organize, and coordinate export activities in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Prepare and review export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping instructions.
Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales, logistics, and finance, to ensure timely order fulfillment and shipment delivery.
Arrange transportation, freight forwarding, and customs clearance services for export shipments.
International Trade Compliance:
Stay up-to-date with international trade regulations, export controls, and trade agreements to ensure compliance.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to export compliance standards.
Prepare and submit export licenses, permits, and declarations as required.
Maintain records of export transactions and documentation for auditing purposes.
Customer Relationship Management:
Communicate and coordinate with international customers, distributors, and agents to understand their requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.
Provide support and assistance to customers regarding export-related queries, shipping schedules, and documentation requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with global partners and agents to expand the company's export network.
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify new export opportunities, potential customers, and emerging trends in international markets.
Analyze market data, including competitor analysis and pricing trends, to develop effective export strategies.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop marketing materials and strategies for international markets.
Performance Reporting:
Prepare and present regular reports on export activities, including sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
Analyze export data to identify areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and process optimization.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in International Business, Export Management, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, export compliance, and documentation requirements.
Experience in export operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
Familiarity with freight forwarding, customs procedures, and shipping documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with international customers and partners.
Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret market data.
Proficiency in using export-related software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Fluency in English and German (both written and spoken). Additional language skills are a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
