Location: Perth Airport and Rockhampton
About the Role:
We are seeking expressions of interest for Trailer Mechanics to join our dynamic teams in Perth and Rockhampton where your expertise will keep our vehicles on the road!
As a vital member of our maintenance crew, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of Fleet to repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting thorough inspections to identify mechanical issues and defects.
Performing a variety of mechanical repairs, including engine, transmission, and brake systems.
Carrying out routine maintenance and service tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
Diagnosing and repairing electrical systems and components.
Welding and fabricating as needed for trailer repair and modification.
Conducting safety checks to ensure vehicles and trailers meet all relevant regulations.
Skills and Experience:
Australian recognized Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic Trade Qualification
Experience as a Trailer Mechanic or a similar role
Unlimited Australian work rights (no restrictions)
Passionate about all things mechanical with an ability to think critically and creatively to help in diagnosing complex mechanical problems efficiently
A meticulous approach ensuring every aspect of the machinery is thoroughly assessed
A strong commitment to safety practices
Good physical fitness for heavy lifting and working in various positions - essential
