We are seeking an experienced External Communication & Reputation Manager to join us on a 12-month contract to provide parental leave cover. In this high impact role, you will lead the development of strategic communication and reputation building initiatives that strengthen Icon’s profile across global markets.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Communication & Brand, you will play a pivotal role within our high-performing Marketing & Communication team. Working closely with executives, clinicians, and leaders across Icon’s global network, your key responsibilities include:

Key responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic communication plans, campaigns and content that reinforce Icon Group’s global positioning.
Lead thought leadership initiatives for executives, clinicians and leaders, shaping Icon’s global voice in investor, industry and community conversations.
Drive and support national PR brand positioning activity across key markets and build relationships with advocacy and industry partners.
Drive and support major PR and media opportunities in our international markets alongside regional team support.
Strengthen Icon’s digital presence and share of voice across stakeholder groups.
Provide strategic advice on emerging political, social and industry issues, identifying opportunities and risks.
Build trusted relationships with global executives, providing communication support for presentations and public engagements.
Mentor and support junior team members while modelling Icon’s values and code of conduct.

About You
You are an experienced communication professional with a strong reputation for strategic thinking, exceptional storytelling capability and the ability to influence at all levels. You thrive in complex environments, manage issues with confidence, and build meaningful relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

Essential requirements
Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, marketing or related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in communication roles.
Proven ability to deliver strategic communication and thought leadership content at an executive level across global markets.
Demonstrated ability to navigate complex issues, influence decision making and manage risk.
Exceptional written communication, storytelling and content development capability.

Desirable skills & experience
Relevant experience in the healthcare industry.
